HOW TO GET TO TEIDE CABLE CAR:
The first option, by car from anywhere on the island; it’s approximately an hour’s drive from any point on the island; set your destination to Teide Cable Car or Teleférico del Teide and the navigation will take you there, should be on one of these routes:
- from the North: Take the TF-21 motorway which connects La Orotava with El Portillo de la Villa and crosses the Teide National Park. The Cable Car is at km 43;
- from the South: Take the TF-21 motorway from Vilaflor to Teide National Park, the route of access for the tourist areas of Playa de Américas and Los Cristianos.
You’ll find a free parking area for up to 220 vehicles at the cable car base.
Another option would be to book a guided tour with a transfer and they will pick you up at the closest bus stop available. I have selected a few of them and posted them here, under the activities tab, feel free to explore them. , where you can book a guided hike tour, in several languages, for different attractions: Teide Observatory, Teide National Park, climb to the top, or visit Pico Viejo.
I hope you have a great day on Teide, all the best!
